P20012 - Grain Conveyor Tripper Automation
This project was to detail design a remotely powered drive system for a previously manually operated conveyor tripper.
Driven by wire rope winder, travelling >300m while grain is conveyed, the device can start and stop at any position under control from a remote HMI panel.  BMmech's scope included Mech, Struct, Elec & Controls engineering disciplines, fully designed to shop detailing.
P21005 - SURGE BiN FEL Bariers
The scope of this safety project was to detail design barriers fit for a 56t Front End Loader on final approach to a bin.
This included wing walls to capture dropped objects.  The design has an innovative below-ground ballast box to tie the barriers to on another.
Scope included Mech & Struct Engineering, design and shop detailing.
P21004 - ROM Bin Grizzly
The design brief for this project was to redesign and retrofit a ROM Bin Grizzly for a heavy duty gold application.
The grizzly consists of four drop-in cassettes, is supported by a central T-beam, and has replaceable saddle liners. (TOTAL MASS = 18,490 kg.)
B21040 - PEBbLE CrushER Maintenance Platform
The client required a drop-in\lift-out maintenance platform for access to a pebble crusher in order to eliminate repeated scaffolding improve safety and reduce shutdown downtime.  The team provided this solution from concept to shop details as a priority task in 7 days, with the entire project fabricated, delivered to site and closed-out in two weeks.
B21029 & B21047 - Process Tanks
The project scope was to engineer, design & shop detail 4 x Ø5.2m and 4 x Ø8.0m mineral process slurry tanks.
All tanks were rubber-lined, equipped with high powered agitators and API650 compliant.
B21048 - GRAIN TRANSFER CHUTE
In co-operation with Jenike & Johanson, this study was to explore an opportunity to improve grain throughput capacity via a bifurcated valve to two receiving conveyors.  The optimised design was tested through Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) to achieve 1,100t/h where the as-built chute chokes above  840t/h.
